"Kinesiology Taping is the use of a stretchy often colored or designed taping that provides proprioceptive training, posturing, or neuromuscular reeducation for the purpose of improving body mechanics. There are many varieties of taping, including Kinesio Tape, KT Tape, Rock Tape, and others. The theory is that if you improve movement patterns and reinforce them with the assistance of taping, you can not only reduce pain but improved efficiency of movement. Also, by applying sensory input to the skin you potentially reduce pain input and improved confidence. Kinesiology has also been shown to improve circulation."
