"Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of symptoms and conditions associated with cancer and the side effects of cancer treatments. In recent years a number of cancer centers in the United States including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston have successfully integrated acupuncture into cancer care. In 2006, I attended the advanced training program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for the use of acupuncture as an adjunctive treatment method for patients as they undergo treatment for cancer.cupuncture addresses all aspects of a patient"s being, by helping to calm anxiety and easing fear, while at the same time, supporting and strengthening the physical body.Few things in life are as frightening and as disruptive as a diagnosis of cancer. As your practitioner, it is my goal to support you and to provide you with empowering therapy that will help you stay strong from diagnosis through treatment and beyond."
