"With the help of our local drum and dance community, we"ve transformed an over-sized carriage house into a beautiful dance studio with a floating hardwood floor, noise-dampening walls, surround sound stereo and a full wall of mirrors. A private outdoor courtyard invites guests to relax and gather outside the studio before and after classes. Live music is always encouraged and the Den offers a tranquil and functional space for smaller performances, private rehearsals, workshops, retreats and group classes. Our studio is a perfect space for most types of movement arts or meditative therapies and is especially ideal for yoga practice. Over the years, we"ve hosted many types of dancers, teachers and classes including African drum and dance, ballet, belly, modern, hip hop, Twerkshops, dancehall, salsa, EDGU, Zumba, Afro-beat, Nia, circle, ecstatic and much more. The Den was founded on the belief that movement is an essential and uplifting experience for people of all ages/abilities and accessible space is essential. With this in mind, we always do our best to make our studio available for rehearsals by local schools, community organizations, theater groups and artists who are developing and refining personal performance material. During the pandemic, we have adjusted our open times to accommodate private reservations and we look forward to the day when we can host larger, open enrollment classes again."
