"Creating a New Way Forward
How to improve self-confidence and problem solving
For most of us, life is "semi-normal," these days, compared to how we were living up until this past February. Stand back for a second, and survey your life: we"re still managing to make it through the day, maintaining a job, paying our rent or mortgage, and putting food on the table.

We feel free, especially when binge-watching movies for hours. Yet we are still aware of potential danger any time we don a mask, avoiding any possibility of exposure to COVID. For most of us, life goes on the way it normally doessort of we drive our cars, listen to the news, take walks and play outside in our backyard.

When I stand back and observe life from a distance, not only are our present circumstances highly unusual (compared to "pre-COVID conditions): it"s as if we"re living through an existential dilemma. This causes us to gradually question the philosophical nature of our existence, despite the fact some may not be fully aware of it. Feel free pause and really take this thought in:

"What does it really mean to be alive?"
Certainly, after all the brutality of WWII, American and European society returned to a period of peace and normalcy. Today, however, our challenge is not only global, but it"s also invisible. The worldwide presence of COVID informs us that risk (and therefore dangerous situations) may be lurking around the corner at any moment. This causes us to constantly be on a "low frequency of high alert," which sounds quite contradictory.

As one of my mentors has said to me over the years: "Katie, when really bad things happen, then really good things happen." Human beings have much to gain by navigating through this multi-faceted situation. Through increased awareness of our focus on our personal integrity and safety, we can make healthier decisions.

Focus even more closely on how to improve self-confidence as well as our ability to solve problems

It"s time to focus even more closely on how to improve self-confidence as well as our ability to solve problems.
Last month, an accident with my computer prevented me from offering you a group session of BWRT, which can improve both your sense of optimism and focus on maintaining a new positive outlook in your daily life."
