Lindsay Hansen, LMFT
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from California State University, Chico in 2010. I went on to receive my Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
I have worked in various community mental health agencies; working with children, teens and adults. I work with individuals, couples and families. I opened my private practice, Behind the Mask Therapy in fall 2020.
I have additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, along with Gottman Couples
Therapy. In 2020 I completed the training required to become a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. I am also in the process of completing my Heart Math Institute Clinical Certification. I am a volunteer mental health provider with the Returning Veterans Project.
I enjoy incorporating narrative, somatic and nutrition exercises into therapy to address holistic health goals. I strongly believe in addressing childhood/early adulthood relational trauma experiences in efforts to help develop healthy boundaries and satisfying relationships going forward in your life paths. I have worked with LGBTQIA communities and believe in equality and accepting all people. Additionally I frequently encourage my clients to incorporate any belief systems they find strength in.
