Hello! My name is Kendall Hagensen. I am a Somatic or body-based counselor and EMDR Therapist. I work with adults living with Medical Trauma, Chronic Pain and Medical Illness who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and career issues, or any other mental health effects resulting from their medical situation.

My approach to therapy is very much about meeting people where they are, and supporting them to utilize their wisdom and strength, and to trust the innate properties of the mind and body to heal itself.

I help people release trauma, grieve the effects of a new diagnosis; explore, accept, and celebrate changes in identity and lifestyle; learn techniques to manage pain; and develop a healthy relationship with their illness.

Change can only happen in the present moment, so we work together to create experiences within the session to allow for this. If you're nervous about therapy in general, or my approach sounds a bit different, I invite you to give it a try. It might help you find what's missing.

I have a deep personal and professional passion for this work and I would be honored to support you.
