"Each group offers a valuable skill set. All clients entering services must attend 5-weeks of Education Group, coupled with a second group. Each week a different topic is covered and includes history of alcohol and other drugs, Effects of Alcohol, BAC, and alcohol laws in Oregon, Marijuana and Depressants, Stimulants, and Infectious Disease. Although a particular topic may not apply to you, you can still gain valuable insight into how drugs can affect the brain and body differently.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy presents alternate outcomes by teaching you skills how to redirect thoughts and feelings. Health and Wellness Group promotes healthy lifestyle choices, discusses how exercise can combat addiction issues, and how balanced nutrition can help heal the body during recovery.
Relapse Prevention focuses on each client developing a specific plan on how to cope with triggers during recovery, identifies risks, and safety planning."
