"Children"s Center serves a vital role in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. Thousands of people depend on our services each year, making our work is an integral part of the community. This is a role we take very seriously. The values outlined here protect guide our work, protect our clients, and are cornerstones of our mission and goals.

Children"s Center is a place of healing and health that welcomes all. We are deeply devastated, heartbroken, and outraged by the inequity and injustice in the world. The killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery highlight the long history of violence against Black people and people of Color. Our hearts go out to their families and the countless numbers of others who have lost their lives and experienced racism. We join our voices in denouncing racialized violence and systemic oppression in all its forms and stand in support of racial equality and all those who search for it. We will continue to add to our resources for staff and clients, and include continuous exploration and re-evaluation of our internal racial equity practices in order that we may better contribute to the healing and change needed in our lives, in our communities, and in society at large."
