Our advocates are comprised of social workers and counselors who will walk along side you throughout your pregnancy...and beyond. You'll be matched with an advocate who is nonjudgmental, supportive and someone you can count on to help navigate the adoption process.
When asked why she works at Choice, Taryn's answer is:
I have felt for a long time my place in this world is to walk alongside people who are in a difficult place having to make really hard choices. My background in mental health counseling has taught me that people need to be met right where they are. I have a deep desire to do just that. We all have our stories (some we'd like to forget) but we all also have big dreams for the future and those should not be pushed aside because of bad timing or lack of preparedness.
Finding out you're unexpectedly pregnant can certainly flip your life upside down... but life isn't over. My role is to provide love, support and education while expectant parents make decisions about their pregnancy.
