"Therapy
I approach therapy as an opportunity to be trusted with a person, couple, or family"s inner and outer worlds. When I"m in the room with you, my attention and energy is focused on understanding you, supporting you, and challenging you.
My clients appreciate my direct communication style, my tendency toward being transparent and collaborative, and my sense of humor. My job is not to tell you who you are; it is to help you get to who you want to be.
My therapy approach is heavily informed by family systems theories, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have additionally completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I use a trauma-informed and trauma-competent approach to all therapy I provide. Additionally, I am rooted in the belief that all humans are valuable, worthy, and deserving of respect and equal treatment.
My experience as a therapist has been predominantly in agency or group practice settings, providing services to a wide range of ages and clinical concerns. I am experienced and qualified to assess for and diagnose common mental health conditions. I have experience both as a clinician as well as an administrator, providing management to intensive outpatient programs and operating in a leadership role."
